Learning objectives :

-Analysis of the braking system in case of skidding on one or more wheels with out ABS control.

- Analysis of the braking system in case of skidding on one or more wheels with ABS control , in relation to : different friction loads , equal wheel

speeds, different wheel speeds

-Checking the condition of intervention of the solenoid valves of the electro-hydraulic set, in the following cases : smooth braking without,

skidding, braking with skidding of a front wheel and braking with skidding of a front wheel and braking with skidding of a rear wheel

- Analysis of the waveform of the driving signal on solenoid valves

- Analysis of the waveform of the signal coming from the sensors of angular velocity.

- Analysis of the pressures acting in tandem circuit and of the depressions in the brake booster .

- Analysis of irregularities, operational defects and faults :

Insertion of non destructive faults by means of microprocessor fault simulator

Fault-finding methods with traditional instruments or special instruments

Data gathering and reading, signaling of malfunction conditions, fault location by guided diagnosis and information upon operator's request,

given through diagnostic tester

4 flywheels (disk wheel) with wheel speed sensor

4 hydraulic pressure gauges for checking the

braking pressures on front right and left wheel, rear

right and left wheel

4 sets of LEDs for checking the state of solenoid valves

Electronic control unit of ABS system

Included built in ABS tester/scanner

Provided test points that used to diagnose and troubleshoot the fault

circuits that caused by the fault simulation system
