With the development of modern industry, electric vehicles (including hybrid cars) have been developed rapidly and become more and more mature day by day. To meet certain power requirements, an electric car needs multiple batteries to be connected in series to support its use; the total voltage of the battery group is generally higher than 100V, and even as high as 800V. Moreover, as the operation environment of an electric car is worse, vibration, impact, cold and hot weather alternation, corrosion of different kinds of corrosive gas and liquid and traffic accidents on road might damage the insulation between the internal electric system part and body of the electric car, and thus directly influences the safety of the driver and electric car itself. Therefore, it is very significant to correctly monitor the insulation performance of electrical system to the vehicle chassis in real time and ensure the driver’s safety, normal work of electrical equipment and safe operation of vehicles.
SZHINO-300 series DC insulation monitoring module is the insulation monitor developed by SHENZHEN SZHINO TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD., which is specially used for electric vehicles, trucks and buses; various complicated conditions are taken into consideration for the measurement and calculation of resistance to ground; accurate and reliable control and unique algorithm is used to ensure rapid and accurate measurement of resistance to ground of the busbar. Low-frequency signal source injection method is applied to SZHINO-300 series electric vehicle insulation resistance monitor. The test resistance network is formed by the signal injection source and voltage sampling resistance as well as insulation resistance; sample the voltage on the resistance in the high precision AD sampling resistance network; then, insulation resistance to be measured can be got by calculation in the loop voltage equation and endpoint current equation, and through DSP treatment. The low-frequency signal source is a standard constant voltage signal source, so the test accuracy is not influenced by the changes of DC high voltage. The feature of using the mode is that measurement accuracy is high, the anti-interference capacity is strong and failed and false insulation alarm can be eliminated effectively.
Comparing SZHINO-300 electric vehicle insulation monitor with domestic and foreign products, its shell is made of flame-retardant engineering plastic or heat radiating aluminum profile, which is accordance with UL94-V0; it has obvious advantages including small size, light weight, less power consumption of external resistance module, cost saving and long quality guarantee period, etc.
