The band over the belts gives the extra lateral rigidity to the belts eliminating the problem of belts whipping over the pulley.
The band not only helps in even distribution of load among the belts but also prevents twisting of belts in the pulley. The maximum 5 belts are recommended under one band
Banded belts includes sections as HA, HB, HC, HD, HSPZ, HSPA, HSPB, HSPC, H3V, H5V and H8V. HAX, HBX, HCX, HXPZ, HXPA, HXPB, These belts are best suited to sustain severe vibrations, extreme shock loads and pulsating loads.
