Regarding the Adjustable Focus Length- How to adjust good light pattern?

Rotate the light body to a proper position, then light up the bulb and check the beam pattern. If the pattern is not what you expect, rotate the light body again, until you get the satisfied pattern.

The emitter position can be adjusted front to back and or turned to fire L/R or T/B so 
one should be able to place the emitters in the best possible spot to take advantage of the optics of the headlight housings; be it projector or reflector.
