Generation and Evaluation of Video Data
basicCON 4121 - Video Dragon
The new Video Dragon supports you to generate and evaluate image and video data in infotainment systems, allowing you to check high-speed connection (LVDS) or HDMI interfaces. Generated and transferred frames can be compared at the pixel level. The modular system structure allows the devices configuration as frame grabber or frame generator. The Video Dragon is a stand-alone device that by virtue of exchangeable serializer/deserializer modules supports the following specifications and protocols:
About the bidirectional sideband can be carried out data communication with the device under test with the protocols I²C or SPI.
Data recorded with the Video Dragon are directly transferred to a display connected to the frame grabber. An electronic control unit (ECU) for data visualization is no longer required.
Image and video sequence recording is done in compressed or raw data format. Using eSATA, you can store image data within the device or on an external SSD/HDD card.
A communication interface for CAN or LIN synchronises a possibly existing bus system and helps in control and configuration of the UUT. The passive cooling concept guarantees a soundless utilization in any environment. Due to an extended temperature range between -40 °C and +70 °C, the test system can be applied in test drives within a real vehicle. Applications
