LVDS Frame Grabber
The LVDS Frame Grabber is a device to send, record and store image data (frames) to an LCD monitor via an LVDS connection. The stored image data are converted in the device and sent to a host system via a USB interface. In this host system, the image data is displayed on a monitor, compared with reference images or further processed.
The LVDS Frame Grabber can also be used as stand-alone device. In this operation mode, the recorded image can be compared with an image stored earlier in the device. The compared result will be a PASS/FAIL signal via a separate connector at the front wall of the device.
The connection of the LVDS input between the output of the LVDS source is realised by means of an additional board in the device which is exchangeable. On the board there is a deserializer, which must be adjusted according to the applied source serializer. By the exchange of the boards it is possible to adjust the basicCON 4120 for different universal applications.
The image data is transferred to the display as per the LVDS standard.
