At delivery, the material certificate referred to this specification is issued by the manufacturer to asses the correctness of the material and it shall include as a minimum:
- Buyers name and order number
- Grade (EN and ASTM)
- Size
- Heat N° and heat treatment process
- Melting and refining process
- Chemical analysis
- Supplementary requirements:§ Intergranular corrosion§ Positive material identification test§ Leak-tightness test§ Visual and dimensional inspection§ Flattening test§ The type of manufacture: hot or cold finished.§ Symbol identifying the delivery condition§ The conformity to the specification(s) EN and ASTM, these specifications shall be specified in the certificate.§ Specify in the certificate that products are free from mercury and radioactive contamination and “no repair welding”.
The certificate shall be in the English language, legible and suitable for subsequent photocopy/scanning.
