It is the combination of 2 machined and polished grooved raceways(inner&outer rings), guilding a number of appropriate cylindrical rollers as the rolling elements, with a cage or full complement. This type bearings are designed to carry heavy radial loads at high speed.
Detailed Description:
• The single row caged cylindrical roller bearings mainly have the N, NJ, NU, and NUP designs.
• The rollers in single row cylindrical roller bearings are always guided between the integral "open" flanges on one of the rings.
• The N design cylindrical roller bearings have two integral flanges on the inner ring and no flanges on the outer ring.
• Cylindrical roller bearings with cage have high radial load carrying capacity, operating at high speed. Full compliment cylindrical roller bearings can accommodate even higher radial loads, but at low and moderate speed
