China National Tyre & Rubber Guilin Co., Ltd. has 3 large factories that produce a wide range of tires under TORCH brand, including heavy truck tire, commercial truck tire, bus tire, earthmover tire, OTR tire (off-the road tire), industrial tire and farm tractor tire.
Milestones
In 1965, TORCH tire was established In Guilin, China.
In 1986,TORCH started to produce OTR tires with 25″rim diameters.
In 1988, TORCH started to produce 36.00-51-58PR under the Giant OTR Tires Development
Project, supported by Chinese Government. This tire was the biggest tire made in
China.
In 1990, TORCH exported OTR tires to Canada and other countries.
In 2006, TORCH expanded its product mix of giant OTR tire with rim diameters ranging from
35″up to 63″, and launching the new project for developing radial OTR tires.
In 2007, the first giant all-steel radial OTR tire made in China, a 36.00R51, rolled off the
production line.
In 2009, more sizes of TORCH radial OTR tires were available including 40.00R57, 37.00R57,
33.00R51, and 30.00R51. A new TBR project was start-up in this year. The project,
with an annual production capacity of 1.2 million sets of truck & bus radial tire, will be
completed within 24 months per schedule.
