1.Because of the environmental temperature variations, fluctuations caused by electronics and lights , engine heat , frictions and water spray , Water and water vapor can enter enclosures from a variety of points including seals, cracks, breathers and even the plastic used in connectors and housings. If these pressures are not equalized or relieved, they create stress on the housing and seals that can cause cracks, condensation, leaks and seal failures that will eventually lead to water and contaminants entering the housing and device failure.
