Steering Gear Steering Rack for Toyota Corolla E140, E150;06-13
Turn off your car and open the hood to expose the engine compartment. Wait for the engine to be completely cool to the touch if it was running prior to the repair.
Locate the round reservoir cover with the words Power Steering Fluid and turn it to the left until it comes loose. You will be able to see inside the fluid reservoir once you remove the cover.
Tighten the metal clamps securing the hose from the fluid reservoir with pliers until they are holding the hose firmly in place. If the hose cannot be tightened to where it can't move or has any hole or leaks, replace the hose.
Add more power steering fluid into the reservoir until it is halfway full. Fit the cup of the vacuum onto the opening of the reservoir.
Pump the handle of the vacuum to create the suction within the reservoir until the meter reads at 20. Let go of the handle and remove the vacuum when you get the needle to 20 on the meter.
Refill the reservoir to halfway and repeat the vacuum process. Keep filling and pumping the reservoir to 20 until the fluid level doesn't lower.
Top the reservoir off with steering fluid until it reaches the cold level mark. Leave the cover off and start the engine.
Watch the opening of the fluid reservoir for any air bubbles. If you see bubbles, cut the engine and repeat the vacuum procedure once more.
Replace the power steering fluid cap and tighten it securely to the right.
