Single-row tapered roller bearings
Single row tapered roller bearings primarily carry combined loads which is main in radial, and tapered roller bearings with large tapered angles (27°-30°) primarily carry combined loads whic is main in axial but not pure axial loads. These bearings can limit axial displacement shafts or housings in one direction. The inner and outer rings can be mounted respectively as separable structure, the outer rings are interchangeable, and they are easy to be mounted and dismounted. 
The radial and axial clearance can be adjusted during mounting or working, and also can be interferenc mounted to increase stiffness. The clearance has great influence 
on bearing performance. If the clearance was too small, the temperature will be high;but if it was too much ,the vibration will be increased and the running accuracy will be difficult to ensure. The bearings will be damaged in both cases above. 
Therefore, the clearance must be adjusted during mounting or working. In order to prevent stress concentration between rollers and raceway to lead to bearing damaged in early period,the obliquity between shafts and housings is not permitted while mounting.
Tapered roller bearings are widely used in rear axle hubs of automotives, large machine tool spindles, large power decelerators,roller wheels of feed ways, etc.
