Electrical Out-Swing Bus Door Mechanism
Composing of DX Electrical External Swing Door Mechanism Assy
DX Electrical External Swing Door Mechanism consists of
1. Arm assy ( including the arms, door pillar assy, bracket assy- upr, tie rod assy, angular irons, door/doorframe wedges etc.)
2. Electrical door mechanism, pin and relevant control units(e.g. switch).
. Working Principles of Electrical External Swing Door Mechanism Assy
To close the door, press the close button and the opening relay works. The motor drives the door close by the action of reduction gears and swing arms. When the door against the frame, the motor drives the scroll sleeve just above the door mechanism to keep rotating, lifting upward the fit scroll shaft (drive shaft). In this manner, the door is lifted until the closing spring contact engages the closing switch. Meanwhile the door wedge will be plugged into the doorframe wedge to lock the door.
To open the door, press the open button and the closing relay works. The motor runs in the opposite direction, disengages the lock and drop the door under the effect of gravity and spring pressure. The door swings out until the opening spring contact reaches the opening switch.
If any object squeezed during door closing, the door will stop moving but will be lifted under the action of scroll sleeve. The anti-clamp flange inside the scroll sleeve assy will touch the steel ball and turn on the switch, actuating the electrmagnetic valve to change direction and open the door. When the object is released, press the close button to re-close the door.
. Functions of Adjustable Parts in the Arm Assy
1. Angle iron and ball head- to be used to adjust the relative position of the door to the doorframe so that they abut against each other closely with average gap and pressure.
2. Tie- rod assy (also called banlance lever assy)- In open/close activity, the tie rod assy will follow the arms to swing in a fixed track. Central distance of the tie rod can be adjusted through screws on two sides of the assy, which ensures smooth movement of door opening/closing. Doorside near the door mechanism shall come out first when door opens and enter later when door closes.
3. Actuating spring- Pressure of the spring can be adjusted through the kingpin at the top end of the door pillar. After door closed, the motor will lift and lock the door, overcoming the gravity of the door and arms, the friction between the door and the joint strip and the force of spring pressure as well. When opening the door, the motor runs in the opposite direction, unlocking and dropping the door with the help of spring pressure and gravity of the door and arms.
If open the door by hand, it mostly relies on the door&arm gravity and spring pressure to overcome the frictions. So it may result in difficulty in dropping the door if spring pressure is not adequate.
If closing the door on a slope, the component force of door gravity on the pillar will reduce while horizontal torque increases, resulting in door lifted before closed and door lock fail to plug into the doorframe lock.
Above two problems can be solved just by increasing the spring pressure.
