Advantages of Gravity Casting:
1. Lower tooling costs than for pressure die casting.
2. A higher casting rate than for sand casting.
3. Low gas porosity is possible.
4. Gravity die casting can obtain fine grain sizes.
5. Fine surface finish, e.g. 3-6 mm
6. Highest quality castings can be produced by gravity die casting.
7. Gravity die casting requires less finishing and polishing than for sand casting.
