Syno Curtain Company Ltd. was founded in 2001. The founder and president, Mr. Lo May-Chang, spent six years in preparation for setting up the company. Mr. Lo was a graduate from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Cheng-Kung University, and just retired from China Steel Corporation. Starting six years ago, Mr. Lo used his leisure time after work to research and design various kinds of curtains to meet different needs. So far, he has successfully developed many types of curtains and has received six patents from Taiwan, China and the USA. “Innovation” is the starting point for the company’s products. Later, many developed countries in Europe and North America improved curtains by adding touches of comfort and elegance. Now, in addition to the shading purpose and the feelings of comfortable and elegance, we have added features of operational convenience, security and variety to our products, to enhance functional efficiency. Traditionally, gravity caused the curtains to droop, and ropes were employed to move the curtain vertically or horizontally. However, the curtains that we have developed use no ropes; movement is controlled by remote control. The “horizontal” curtains, in particular, are specially designed to resist gravity and can be operated freely, even on slanted windows or horizontal skylights. In brief, under the new concept that dreams should be more than memories, we continually endeavor to generate creative ideas and innovations. After more than 10 years of effort and cultivation, we have brought our curtain culture to a perfect stage. At present, we are actively expanding both domestic and overseas markets and developing new products. So far, two products are under mass production. We will strive to create more new ones in the future.
