Yidong Company’s former is ‘FAW Dongguang Clutch Factory’, established as a joint venture between China First Automobile Works (FAW) and Jilin Dongguang Precision Machinery Factory in 1992. The company completed stock reformation and set up Changchun Yidong Clutch Co., Ltd., and became the first clutch supplier in China to be listed on the stock market in 1998.
In 1992, the company imported pulling type and pushing type automobile diagram spring clutch products and manufacturing technology from Automotive Products Plc (U.K.), and entered Changchun National High-tech Industries Development Area. The independence development of diagram spring clutch was placed on the important project of National “Torch Project”. The company imported successively key equipments from Germany, France, England, Japan, Korea, Italy, Austria, Russia, etc, and through 3 times technical innovation, the company has possessed the production capacity of producing 1.2 million sets annually now and developed 20 ...[More]ifications and 120 types of products, including 6 types products named after class state new products. The products serve for heavy-duty vehicle, medium-duty vehicle, light-duty vehicle, passenger vehicle, mini vehicle, SUVs, agriculture carrier vehicle and military fighting vehicle. The size of clutch products is from Φ160mm to Φ430mm, the torque is from 71N.m. to 3516N.m. The output of clutch assembly unit went beyond 1 million sets in 2003. The company has been becoming one of automobile clutch production bases that are of high technology, great production scale and wide products series in China.
