1,Tuff trided /Nitried
valves are nitrided to increase the exhaustion strength ,corrosion resistance and wear .
2, Chrome plated
valve stems are plated with chrome to increase the wear resistance and also corrosion resistance of the stem .
3, Stellited ( seat hard faced )
 Valves made by using deposit of setllite to get high hot hardness at the seat .
4, Bimetal
Valve made by joining together two different
valve materials by friction weilding where in high hot hardness alloy steel ( austenitic steel ) is used at the head and the stem made from a upright mechanical properties steel ( martensitic steel )
