Product Description:

I. Among all plastics, HMWPE(Ultrahigh Molecular Weight Polyethylene) has been the best material to be as pulleys applied to a variety of industries including even food and beverage industries.  HMWPE pulley is also called UHMWPE pulley, UHMW pulley, UHMW-PE pulley and sometimes HDPE pulley.

II. The molecular weight of HMWPE Pulleys is diverse by clients' demands, such as grade 300 HMWPE Pulley, grade 500 HMWPE Pulley and grade 1000 HMWPE Pulley etc.

III. Colours of HMWPE Pulleys available: Natural pulley, black pulley, blue pulley, green pulley, yellow HMWPE Pulleys and pulleys of other colours by customers' requirements.

IV. Virgin HMWPE Pulley and regenerated HMWPE Pulley available.

V. HMWPE Pulley Properties
1. Extremely high wear resistance
HMWPE pulley has 3 million or more molecular weight, the smallest wear index, which makes it have a very high capacity of anti-sliding friction. Its wear resistance is 6.6 times higher than normal alloy steel, 27.3 times that of stainless steel, 17.9 times that of phenolic resin, 6 times that of nylon 6, 4 times that of PE, and it increases the life of the implement substantially.

2. Very high impact resistance
Of the existing engineering plastics, the value of the impact toughness of HMWPE pulley is the highest, and many materials will crack, break, split or surface stress fatigue in the explosion of serious or repeated impact. HMWPE pulley will not damage by cantilever beam impact test according to ISO 9001 standards, and can bear strong external impacts, internal overload and pressure fluctuation.

3. Corrosion resistance
HMWPE pulley is a kind of structure of saturated molecules, so its chemical stability is very high. HMWPE pulley can withstand the erosion of potent chemical substances, and it is not subject to corrosion in other lye and acid except for some mild acid at high temperature outside.

4. Good self-lubrication
HMWPE pulley contains the waxy substance itself, and its self-lubrication is very good. The frictional coefficient (196n, 2 hours) is only 0.219mn/m (ISO9001), so its self-lubrication is better than steel or brass with oil lubrication.

5. The unique resistance to low temperature
The resistance to low temperature is excellent, and HMWPE pulley impact resistance and anti-abrasion can't change basically at minus 269 degrees centigrade. HMWPE pulley is the only available engineering plastics can work at temperatures close to absolute zero. Meanwhile, the adaptable temperature range of HMWPE is large, and HMWPE pulley can be used within -269 to 80 degrees centigrade.

6. Not easy to form dirt
HMWPE pulley has excellent surface non-adhesion and surface smoothness due to its small friction coefficient and non-polarity.

7. Long life-span
The unsaturated genes of molecular chain of HMWPE pulley are less, and its fatigue resistance strength is more than 500 thousand times, and its environmental stress cracking resistance is more than 4000h, which is twice more than the PE. HMWPE pulley can still maintain more than 70% mechanical properties after it is buried and used for 50 years.

8. Easy installation
The weight of unit length of HMWPE pulley is only one-eighth of the steel material, which makes HMWPE pulley easier to load, unload, transport and install.

9. Some other characteristics
