321 stainless steel has excellent high temperature stress breaking (stressRupture) performance and high temperature resistance to creep performance (Creep Resistance) stress mechanical properties are better than 304 stainless steel. 321 austenitic stainless steel in the atmosphere has good corrosion resistance, is widely used in petrochemical, power, bridges and automotive industries. Medium concentration, pH value, temperature and other factors will have a greater impact on the corrosion resistance of stainless steel. For example, in the 450 ~ 850 sensitized temperature range for long-term use, stainless steel will occur intergranular corrosion. The mechanism is that C and grain boundary Cr combined to form Cr23C6 and precipitation, so that the grain boundary Cr content reduction, which is the so-called "poor chromium." The Cr element is one of the main elements to suppress intergranular corrosion. When the Cr content below the grain boundary is less than 12%, the probability of intergranular corrosion becomes larger.
