What are the differences between spray dispensing and needle dispensing?
Compared with the needle dispensing technique, spray dispensing has become the preferred method of dispensing in most electronic packaging and circuit board assembly.Different from the dispensing cylinder, the dispensing nozzle does not form a continuous flow of bottom filling fluid, but instead USES more than 200 accurately measured points per second. With the horizontal movement of the dispensing nozzle, the dispensing point can form a variety of required lines and patterns, such as lines, dotted lines and other different graphics. Each injection is precisely controlled, and the diameter of the glue point formed by one injection can be as small as 0.05mm, which is very important for the application of patch glue and other occasions requiring precise control of the area.
Using spray dispensing technology, designers can modify design rules to make devices smaller, cheaper and more functional. So now the mainstream of dispensing technology is spray dispensing technology.
There are several differences between spray and needle dispensing: when the glue is ejected from the nozzle, it is separated from the nozzle before touching the substrate. Each glue point is sprayed onto the substrate to form points, lines and graphs. In the process of moving the dispensing position, the dispensing head does not move along the Z-axis, which saves quite a lot of time. When the needle points glue, the manipulator moves on the x, Y and Z axis, and the glue comes out from the needle to contact the substrate. The glue is separated from the needle by gravity and surface tension of the substrate. After each gluing is completed, there is a distinct movement along the Z-axis and then moves to the next gluing position.Another important difference between needle injection and injection is that injection can achieve a faster yield.A nozzle with an inner diameter of 100 microns and a length of 0.5 millimeters, dispensing a height of 2 millimeters and producing five times as much glue as a needle of the same inner diameter (32g).
Types of glue that can be sprayed:
Many types of glue can be sprayed. The types of glue that can be sprayed include: bottom filler, surface mount glue, silver paste, liquid crystal, silica gel (used with phosphorus in the LED industry), UV glue, MEMS encapsulated desiccant, chip adhesive glue, epoxy resin, surface coating materials, lubricants, medical reagents, and inks.In particular, the properties of different types of glue vary greatly. For example, some bottom-filled glues facilitate heat transfer after filling.Usually, if the glue is designed for high speed dispensing, then the glue can be dispensed in a spray manner.
Described above spray glue, because of high frequency injection glue (frequency above 200 hz ~ 1000 hz), injection valve nozzle and firing pin abrasion is very big, in order to improve the service life, generally USES the tungsten steel (hard alloy) material, is very high to the requirement of injection valve nozzle at the same time, the inner hole, inner need high smoothness, also need to make sure that the nozzle inner hole high concentricity (high quality nozzle concentricity in more than + / - 0.001 mm), the firing pin of form a complete set of r Angle also needs to carry on the design, the design of injection valve nozzle will last longer.
