Petrol gauge is an automotive engine testing tool which displaying Cylinder reading, It shows to what reading cylinder fit for work, and below a certain value doesnt work, typically, the petrol gauge unit is MPa.
Common fault detection and exclusion gasoline pressure and injection status inspection is the most important means of gasoline pressure inspection. as the gasoline pressure directly impact on the delivery of gasoline and jet. When the fuel pressure is too high, and the gasoline and air mixture ratio is too thick, namely Excessive injection, and the gas is too low, it will cause the engine lack of oil and cannot work.

Instructions for use
1 Starting the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature
2 Loosen all the spark plug or two laps, starter drive the engine (but do not allow the engine to start) for 5-10 seconds, it will dispersethe dust around the base of the spark plug, and will not fall into the cylinder.
3 Remove all the spark plugs carefully, visually inspect the spark plug can find many problems, such as: Spark plug exist oil it means that piston ring is broken or valve guide wear, spark plugs burn means vacuum leak.
4 Fully open carburetors throttle valve, have a look whether the results like that.
5 Starter drive Engine, use Gauge Resistant rubber cone tightly pressed the spark plug hole.
6.Starter drive the engine,In each of the compression stroke, the measured value slight pulse, please note that the first and fourth compressor stroke readings, make sure the battery is fully charged, the engine is in good condition and driven by the engine at normal speed. Driven by the engine with the starter is too slow, it will lead to erroneous results.
7. After read meter readings, Pull off vent valve cone end to decompression.
Result
In the following cases, the engine is in good condition:
a: first stroke 50-70 pounds / (PSI)
b: The last stroke at rated conditions range.
c: The Margin between the cylinders is smaller than the rated margin.
Note: the cylinder difference should not exceed 10-15PSI (for Ford, the minimum value should be less than the maximum value of 3/4 (70%)
The results indicate that the engine in question as follows:
a: The first stroke and every stroke on the low pressure accumulated only 10-20PSI, it means Clamp or valve seat valve burned out
b: A cylinder or all of the cylinder pressure is low: inject a small amount of oil into the cylinder, check whether the piston rings or cylinder wall damage. Starter drive the engine several times, repeated compression test. If it is ok now, it is indicate that piston rings or cylinder wall is damaged, or Oil sealed piston four weeks tiny slatted. If the result is still low, then the problem lies in the valve or cylinder head gasket. If only improve a little, then the piston rings, valve or cylinder head gasket is broken, it may have three bad.
C: If it higher than normal pressure, the main reason is it caused by cylinder excessive carbon deposits.
d: Revised by the people recently, Installed new piston engine, if the reading is low - it may be due to piston ring installation problems.
