On September 11, CHINAHEAVYLIFT SPMT Self-Propelled Modular Transporters completed the transportation project of the secondary dehydration Tower for BP chemical limited company in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, south China by GPEC. The dimensions of the secondary dehydration tower are 58.44m×8.6m×9.5m, the weight of the cargo was 663.4 tones. The whole journey was about 10 kilometers from Gaolan port to the BP Company. GPEC wisely chose the 46 axle lines CHINAHEAVYLIFT SPMT Self-Propelled Modular Transporters to overcome the restrictions of overall dimensions, overweight and saddle position. The transportation takes about 20 hours. The average speed of the CHINAHEAVYLIFT SPMT is 0.5km/h.
It is extremely difficult to arrange the route for transporting this heavy gauge secondary dehydrating tower by SPMT Self-Propelled Modular Transporters. The project team held several meetings to finalize the safest, technology-combined solution and arranged the commissioning of the SPMT.
