The 4JA1 and 4JB1 diesel engine adopts the cross flow type of inlet-exhaust piping plan. There is a recess of four corners in the combustion chamber. The cylinder body and the cylinder head are cast with thin walls; the crank-shaft is forged by the precision forging process; furthermore the surface is treated by soft nitrogen. Its cylinder gasket is of folded metal layering, the steel thin wall cylinder bush is chromium plated, the piston is changed by the inlay ring and the generator with vacuum pump and regulator, low speed and big torque stator, poly acrylic fans with silicone oil clutch, and box VE type fuel distribution pumps, small size, low inertia fuel jets.
