AOPEC Smart Dual Voltage Sensitive Relay (VSR) offers you an amazing device which is automatic separation and connection of the start battery in parallel with auxiliary battery according to the voltage value of the start battery. This VSR will constantly scan the start battery voltage value for separation and connection of the auxiliary battery being charged from the start battery.

Why do you need a voltege sensitive relay?

    The Voltage Sensing Relay (VSR) allows the charging of a second battery bank from any single charging source. When the voltage on the charged bank rises sufficiently, the VSR engages allowing the 2nd battery bank to charge. When charging stops and voltage falls, the VSR automatically isolates the battery banks, ensuring that engine start batteries are kept fully charged.

How does it work?

1)  When the engine is started and the voltage of start battery reaches 26.6 volts, the VSR engages, allowing two battery banks (start and house) to be charged simultaneously.The indicator (LED) is on.

2)  When the voltage of start battery drops below 25.6 volts (eg the engine is stopped), the VSR disengages, separats the batteries. The indicator (LED) is off. It can protect your start battery from being drained by over loads on house battery.

3)  Dual sensing: It allows the device to sense the voltage of both batteries that it is connected between. If either battery is receiving a charge the VSR will activate paralleling the two battery banks. It is designed for situations where a battery charger or second charging source is used into the house battery.
