Water Pump For Mercedes -Benz ,With OEM NO .

The cooling system constitutes a closed circuit. Its function is to safeguard the thermal balance in the engine because it is only at optimum temperatures that the engine finds optimum operating conditions: this will result in a high efficiency and complete combustion which in turn minimizes the impact on the environment.
In accordance with the manufacturer specification, a mixture of pure water, antifreeze and corrosion protecting agents will be used as coolant in the system. The boiling point of this mixture is above that of water and allows coolant temperatures of up to 120°C at a gauge pressure of 1.4 bar.
The thermostat will control the cooling circuit as a function of the coolant temperature: when the engine is still cold, it remains closed so that the operating temperature is reached as quickly as possible (small cooling circuit); only above a defined temperature level will it open to activate the large cooling circuit via the radiator.
The water pump, which is driven through a belt, will deliver the coolant and, after thermostat opening, ensure the uniform and quick transfer of the coolant from the engine to the radiator: there the warm coolant is cooled again - either by the slip stream, if this is sufficient, or by a radiator fan which takes in additional air.
