Vagcom 17.1 Using Guide:

Downloaded VCDS software installation file, follow the steps to install the software correctly VCDS,You must VCDS software installed on your computer's hard drive!
If you run directly from other media VCDS software, the software may not run correctly
You can use a CD or USB flash drive to copy files to install VCDS on your computer hard drive you want to install, and then install it.

The appropriate diagnostic cable to connect the computer to the vehicle and turn the ignition switch of the vehicle, but it is not necessary to start the engine.

Click the [System Configuration], and then select the correct communications port
Click [Test] to confirm VCDS program can use the correct communications port, find diagnostic cables
Then click [Save]

You can now use all the features of the program VCDS. Ensure VCDS software can reliably access all the control modules that you have a vehicle to view the fault code. See the VCDS diagnostic system for vehicle applications list

VCDS 17.1 Note:

1. Version 17.1 must be used to Ross-Tech's HEX-, KEY-, KII-, or Micro-CAN series of "smart" diagnostic cables
2. You can not be used elsewhere to buy or produce their own diagnostic cable
3. VCDS Chinese program is installed by default in the following directory: C: Ross-Tech VCDS-ZHS
4. If you are using more than 7 operating system Windows Vista or Windows, please do not install the VCDS in the system Program Files directory
